Bali 18/6-21/6 The Day Tour

I mentioned earlier that this package that we took was a half board package. It means that there would be a limited guided day tour.

The whole of the second day up till and including dinner, we were being shown around the place by a local guide. I think his name was Wyatt.

The first place we went to was to see this Barum and Kris Dance. This is a traditional Balinese play by very skillful female dancers and exceedingly boring male dancers. The females executed pleasant praying mantis' movements while the men moved around like buffaloes.

All in all, the whole thing was pretty boring and I think they (the performers) know it. You see, in the end, they threw in some comedy. One of the men came out with a kris jutting out of his belt like some erected thing and he moved his hips forward and up repeatedly with a silly grin on his face all the time. They also have this tail of a monkey being pulled to the front in between the legs to ... you know.

Yeah, this cultural show was almost a complete waste of time.

Next we went to some volcano place where you have a restaurant to have lunch in and a view for tourists to take pictures. I think Wyatt mentioned that the volcano first erupted in 1924 and last spew lava in 1964 or something.

Next, we went to a temple. This temple seemed really old and was completely deserted. I couldn't think of a single reason why we should be here at all. I looked at the guide and he looked like he has absolutely no idea too. Or maybe he has absolutely no interest to enlighten us.

We took some pictures as well.

What do you expect us to do?

Then the guide said he wanted to take us back to the hotel and we should be having our own dinner.

I looked at the itinerary again and I told him that there was supposed to be a visit to some monkey place and dinner was provided.

He screwed up his face looking really surprised and started to call his office. I was impressed with his acting skill, no doubt.

We did not get to go to this monkey place but he took us to a crap art gallery where there were plentiful paintings. The women in the paintings have quite some pronounced breasts. Then we began to notice that everybody has breasts. The men, the children and even Buddha display them prominently in the paintings.

We went for dinner in a Chinese restaurant before we managed to finally get rid of our guide, Wyatt.

The sad news then was that we knew we still have to see him again when he comes to pick us up to go to the airport on the last day.

For your information, cats seemed to be really scarce in Bali. Me and Jeremy Cheong managed to spot only one while Jeradyne spotted two.

Dogs were all over the place.

Bali 18/6-21/6 The Hotel

Hard Rock Hotel, Bali has just got to be the most awesome hotel ever. In the world. In my opinion.

I was kept impressed for at least 48 hours. Everything I saw, heard, and touched impressed me.

Instead of the big lobby that you normally experience walking into a hotel, here is the CentreStage. The watering hole where you drink and party away. Passersby, choosing not to walk in, can enjoy the show watching from the extremely wide entrance without buying drinks. Absolutely free of charge.

In the middle of this huge club with an extremely high ceiling is the large island bar. In the middle of this bar is the elevated stage. 10 feet high! Singers can climb down onto the bar to dance and they frequently do.

Your welcome drink comes in the form of a ticket of which you can exchange for a beer later in the evening when you drink and party away in the CentreStage.

Their reception area is small and informal. Just two medium length counters labelled Reception and Guest Relations. Here was where I got impressed again. The staff are all courteous, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Ask them anything. Information, check-in, check-out, change room, taxi service, outside dinning options, shopping possibilities etc.

All of them can help you out. They have no work specializations. All of them can help in all areas.

And almost all of them are good looking!

You have rock celebrities pictures and memorabilia everywhere you look. Past and living legends.

Slash, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Jon Bon Jovi, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Bono, John Bonham, Eric Clapton, Sting, Rod Stewart, Michael Jackson, Kurt Corbain and much more.

Our two adjoining rooms featured Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson.

The rooms are clean, tidy and practical. The television set is angled so that you can view lying down on the bed. The bathroom has a metal pole besides the toilet seat for support and house the toilet paper. Anyway something for you to hold on to when you do your stuff.

Nobody need rush for seats at the breakfast buffet. They seat you.

They have a really large free form swimming pool. You can find a sand island in the middle with the surrounding bottom of the pool consisting of sand. Awesome!

There are also many cabanas by the pool that you can rent. The concept is to sleep in your room at night and choose to sleep and relax in a rented cabana in the day.

And yes, you get a free one hour body massage at the spa with a choice of 3 types of oil.

If you think you can sing rock songs; you can make your own CDs right here at the hotel. There will be a fee of course. They too have their own radio station with a wide expanse of glass that you can look in to see the DJs in action.

Just so you know, the Hard Rock Cafe is a separate entity besides the hotel.

I understand now, you have a Hard Rock Hotel in Penang. Wonder how is it.

Michael Jackson Dies

Michael Jackson died early this morning.

Michael Jackson was a genius.

I do not know too much about Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin. But Michael Jackson; I grew up listening to his music. (as well as the Beatles, Led Zeppelin etc.).

Michael Jackson was a genius.

One can see his music evolved over the years. His dance styles were unique in a sense that if done exactly by a different person, it would come out differently. As an example, Usher can do whatever Michael Jackson can do. However, it seems different; certainly not with the flair that only Michael Jackson can pull off.

As another example, nobody can execute moves exactly like Bruce Lee. Nobody else has that attitude.

Michael Jackson has made some choices which did not turn out so well. Doesn't everybody?

I will always remember him.

Michael Jackson was a genius.

His Thriller studio album is the best-selling album of all time. The album was released on November 30, 1982.

May he rest in peace.

Chill Out Fridays@3rd Mile Square-Number Two

So it is happening again tomorrow. This would be the 2nd time. I was there the 1st time and I think the atmosphere was great.

Sitting arrangement is alfresco. This is quite pleasant. They cordoned off the place for you so that you will not have any cars driving pass you 2 feet away. Just pray that it won't rain.

CanonMalaysian Pauline Wong would be there for sure.

Bali 18/6-21/6 The Journey

We booked our package via a franchisee of Reliance Travels quite near my home in Entrepreneurs' Park.

The price for the first 3 pax was RM1229.00 per and the fourth one was RM210.00 more. The 1st 3 were three weeks in advance and the fourth one 3 days. This program was a half board package.

We flew off via Qatar Airways.

Everybody has heard of Qatar. But where is this place really.

Qatar is an Arab emirate in the Middle East, occupying the small Qatar Peninsula on the northeasterly coast of the larger Arabian Peninsula. It is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the south; otherwise the Persian Gulf surrounds the state. An oil-rich nation, Qatar has the second highest GDP per capita in the world.

Have you seen an airline boarding pass before?

.

.

.

.

.

.

The plane was a Airbus A300. Movies on board were aplenty. The flight time of just under 3 hours would be comfortably enough for at least one movie.

Recognise Ann Hathaway?

When you are bored, you can look out the window.

.

.

.

Or fool around with your fingers.

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The airline uniforms were horrendous. They should kill the designer.
.
The air stewardesses were nowhere near our Jackie Leow, Noraini Ibrahim and Cindy Wong. The former two joined Canon from Cathay Pacific and Malaysian Airlines and Cindy left us for Singapore Airlines, I think.
.
Qatar has a population just shy of 1.7 million people. And the fact that the male:female ratio of 3.5 may have something to do with the quality of their air stewardesses. You see, a large portion of the people in Qatar are expatriates and they are mostly male.
.
We too came back by Qatar Airways.

Bali 18/6-21/6 The Beach

Bali is not a small place.

Bali Island is not just bigger than Singapore Island. It is much bigger.

The hotel we stayed in faces the Kuta Beach. This is one of the many beaches where tourists converge.

Early morning on the second day, being an old heck like me and can't sleep much, I went to the beach to looksee. The beach is unobstructed both sides for as far as the eyes can see. Show you? Left side and right side. You can tell that the beach is pretty shady for two reasons.

The beach faces west and these pictures were taken in the morning. There are also quite a few trees on the beach to provide shade for picnickers and vendors.

So, is this a good beach? Well yes and no. This beach is suitable for surfers and non-surfers should go somewhere to fly a kite. This place has very consistent 3 foot waves suitable for yeah, you know. For swimmers, they actually have flags to tell you to yeah, you know. Anyway the sea has quite a bit of stones and it is certainly not pleasant to wade in. The sand was so-so. Not exactly pure white and powdery.

Okay, so if we do not go into the sea, would relaxing by the beach good?

Okay lah. However let me tell you. Do not encourage your boss to go there. There by the beach, you would have to keep saying no to so many vendors. Surfboard rental, surfing lessons, mats rentals, buy hats, buy T-shirts, buy sarong, buy souvenirs, buy drinks, buy food, massage, braid your hair, draw your caricature, manicure, pedicure, paint your nails, and more ..

After saying no so many many times, your boss may come back and out of habit, say no to everything you ask for. Beware!

Anyway, I came back to the beach in the afternoon with some relatives of mine. Here are some pictures. How I envy such good looking people.

Jeradyne did the mani and pedicure and painted her nails. Using my money of course.

Stanley's Back

I wish I have a photo shot of my back to show you. Stanley's Back. Just like a album cover of Geri Halliwell's Geri's Back. (tried, but can't find the picture.)

Just came back very early this morning from a few days away in Bali Island. It may come as a surprise to you but I really do have got quite a lot of work to catch up on. I have not even had the chance to look at the last few days' news. You can't called them news anymore, can you?

And yes, like Wong Choon Heng said, Nadal is not competing for the Wimbledon Trophy in view of injury. Damned!

Will update when able.

A Hiatus not amounting to a Sabbatical

Definitions of hiatus on the Web:
suspension: an interruption in the intensity or amount of something
a missing piece (as a gap in a manuscript)

A sabbatical year is a prolonged hiatus, typically one year, in the career of an otherwise successful individual taken in order to fulfill some dream, e.g. writing a book or travelling extensively.

So I will be taking a hiatus.

I will be away on a short holiday and shall try my best to be away from any computer and any Internet connection.

I know some of you will miss me and some hope that I won't come back. I shall endeavour to disappoint the latter and reconnect with the former by early next week.

See you later, alligator.
Don't forget your toilet paper.

How about some pictures of 23 year old Megan Fox for you guys to drool over.

Mall Cop and The International

Kevin James (born April 26, 1965) is an American comedian and actor, perhaps best known for his portrayal of lead character Doug Heffernan on the CBS sitcom The King of Queens and periodically on Everybody Loves Raymond. He is also known for leading roles in the films Hitch (2005), I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007), and Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009).

Kevin James was so adorable and funny in The King of Queens. I enjoyed this sitcom much which ended about 2 years ago.

However in the Mall Cop, he did not come across well. The movie was like a parody of Die Hard where the hero was trapped in a building (here, it was a mall), with a band of terrorists/robbers led by a mean leader. The lives of a daughter and a girlfriend/wife were at stake and the hero overcame all odds to save the day. Here Kevin played the role of a low esteem loser who transformed into some kind of a hero to save the ta dah girl and the daughter.

Unless you are really bored, do not watch this movie. It was at best mediocre with only a few worthwhile moments. You may be interested to know as well that there were very few good looking people in this movie.

The International has got Clive Owen and Naomi Watts in it.

I first noticed Clive Owen when he was in The Inside Man, a very interesting and good movie. It was on Astro not so long ago.

The International was intense. A big evil bank with powerful evil people running it. International cities all over the world were being used for location shootings. Many people got killed including somebody about to become the Prime Minister of Italy. It was fast paced and exciting. A lot of running around the world.

This movie was about one bank providing credit in exchange for world domination.

If you like the Bourne Identity movies, you'll like this one.

Joe Wong - A Blast from the Past

Joe Wong Kok Keong called me on the phone a week ago.

"Stan my man, what's shakin'?"

This man wanted to register for a email address and wanted to know if hotmail or gmail would be a good bet. After some recommendations from me on a few issues, he said he will wait for his nephew to come back in the evening to set up his connection to the world.

The prehistoric creature had just took a massive leap across the digital divide to become an ordinary person.

2 days ago, i received a text message from him.

'Finally an email. joeyelo@hotmail.com Any mail 4 me ? Haha..'

In the earlier conversation, he mentioned that his present employment required that he would need a email address for communication. You can see that his mail name is Joe Yellow, yellow being wong.

I am going to try to meet up with him for a drink to laugh together with him on his arrival from the past.

For those not entirely in the know, Joe Wong left Canon and became the most well known ex-Canon liquor man. At one time, Jack Daniel's was almost synonymous with Joe Wong. Sometimes he is known as Jau Wong literally meaning the God of Liquor.

At one time, he was close to god.

I wonder what happened to Joanne Lai. Last I heard, she was in New Zealand where Betty Saw Lye Cheng has settled down.

The English Language in Malaysia

So many, many, many people have talked about this subject. About the teaching of Science and Mathematics in English. To continue or to drop or to modify.

Today I came upon this article in The Star written by P. Gunasegaram and my opinion is that this is the best yet. Clear and critically thought out. I am in total agreement on many points.

I lay out here some of my points and I invite you to continue to read what he wrote.

1. The command of English in Malaysia has deteriorated much and is really bad today.

2. The usage of English as a medium of instruction for the two subjects will improve standards of both the language and the subjects; and it has done so.

3. Malay should still be continued to be used on other subjects as this is our national language and we should have a good command of this language.

4. In addition a good command of the English language will enable Malaysians to be more competitive in the world market. Certainly.

5. Let's not confuse the issue by bringing in other things like if the passing of the English paper is necessary or not for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia. Let's wait first, until the English language proficiency improve further.

6. Although grammer is important, again let's wait first. Let's have people being able to use the English language for communicating effectively first. Let's remember that English speaking people do not learn the language grammatically until after when they've learnt how to speak and write reasonably okay first.

Let’s just stick to English
Question Time

By P. GUNASEGARAM

Whether Science and Maths should be taught in English should be decided solely by considering the welfare of the students and the country.

Our people should know how to read, write and speak the national language but, at the same time, to gain knowledge, they should learn and use English – Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

In 2003, before he stepped down as Prime Minister in 2004, Dr Mahathir made a major policy change in terms of education.

It was considered drastic at that time and made over the opposition of both Malay and vernacular language advocates.

He basically decreed that Science and Mathematics should be taught in English simply because that was the fastest way for Malaysians to access the rapidly changing developments in those fields.

Canon is the Largest ....

.. laser printer engine manufacturer in the world.

So said Winnie Kuan in addressing attendees for a dinner party in The Apartment in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. 2 days ago.

Winnie Kuan has joined Canon?

No, pretty and elegant Winnie has never been with Canon. She left Hewlett-Packard as the Manager of the Most Valued Customers team to now head the Samsung Printer business in Malaysia.

The function was jointly organised by ECS Astar and Samsung. Why was I there?

3 things. Free Food, Free Beer and An Invitation. There you go.

Why did Winnie talked about Canon. Actually she was making a presentation on Samsung. Samsung is the 2nd largest laser printer engine manufacturer in the world. Canon was mentioned in passing being at the number 1 position.

Samsung printer market share is also number 1 in 20 countries. She said that Samsung is either number 1 or number 2 in almost every venture that Samsung is in. Cited were handphones and LCD monitors.

Currently Samsung is extremely aggressive in courting resellers in world domination, Malaysia being no exception. I can tell that their people are enthusiastic, motivated and pretty gung ho in general.

Printer partners were being told too that Samsung is 100% partner-centric and presently Samsung has 40 printer models in the range. A few times, Winnie mentioned about the early birds' rewards in worms catching.

By the way, the fusion food was good and the beer cold and soothing.

Some of you may remember Jonathan former Canon and now with Samsung.

I can't find a picture of Winnie Kuan on the Net.

Steffi, will you marry me?

It was a pretty frustrating afternoon yesterday. I cannot access the Internet.

Thinking it was a local problem, I wasted some time getting people to do things to no avail.

Streamyx screwed up yesterday. Jeff Ooi was sarcastic and I liked it. He said

"Screamyx... nation-wide & 4 days ahead" Read here.

Anyway, Roger Federer got what he wanted. Finally all four Grand Slams event titles and a match to Pete Sampras 14 titles, the highest ever.

Everything was over in less than 2 hours enabling me to sleep early. It was almost a walk in the park for Federer with Robin Soderling struggling throughout. If I am not wrong, I think Federer did not even lose one service game in this almost one sided match. Even Soderling mentioned thanking Federer jokingly for giving him a tennis lesson at the trophy presentation.

Being a crybaby that he is, of course Federer shed some tears in the end. I liked the way Robin Soderling spoke. I think he was gracious and funny.

By the way, it was so good to see champion couple Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi. Steffi presented the trophy to Kuznetsova the day before and Agassi to Federer the day after. You know Agassi was the last one to pocket all fours the last time?

I have here an incredibly funny video of Steffi Graf of many years ago. You have absolutely no sense of humor if you do not love this.

Many years ago, Andre Agassi was sponsored by Canon as well. You don't know? Do you know he looked like this then?

Well, later he looked like this. Still handsome of course, but in a different way.

Can you see?

Looking forward to seeing Federer ....

.... play the French Open finals later today.

He has a very friendly and supportive audience and most of all, he has so many FedEx advertisements around the centre court cheering him on.

Let's hope he does the right things. I heard his wife said she will withhold sex for two months unless he gets this 14th Grand Slam event title.

I managed to watch the 2nd set of the women's finals between Safina and Kuznetsova. It was a little traumatic to see Safina's frustrations, desperation and then hopelessness at the end. I so feel for her.

On the other hand, Kuznetsova was so cool, confident and matter of factly. She looked like nobody in the world can beat her on this day. At one point, she was showing off her football skills with the tennis ball. Very impressive.

She too looked so strong, physically as well as mentally on this day. 6-4, 6-2.

See what I mean?

I have no heart to show how Safina looked like yesterday. So here's a happy picture.

No Place for Old Men

A couple of older people died recently and I was reminded of the 2007 movie No Country for Old Men, a movie I thought was very good and frightening. Scary movie.

You have Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Woody Harrelson in it.

So, who died recently?

72 year old David Carradine was found dead in 'Thailand naked and apparently was fooling around with himself sexually and perhaps a mishap happened.

More news would be coming up on the circumstances of his death in the next few days to come, in your local newspapers.

The Kill Bill films straightaway came to mind when I heard the news, another two seriously violent movies that I enjoyed very much. Both films by award winning genius Quentin Tarantino.

I’m the very picture of a villain, but sometimes I play the good guy who becomes involved in a fight due to a misunderstanding. When I wear a beard I’m usually the bad guy – all my characters are defeated in the end”.

So said Sek Kin at one time. So sad. He died three days ago at the age of 96. He has done hundreds of movies.

How can anybody above the age of 40(?) not know him. Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon?

Sad to see them go.

Roger Federer targets elusive French Open title

Not many CanonMalaysians that I know play tennis.

I remembered playing with Jeffrey Tan, Mak Siew Choy, Mike Cheong, Thomas Wong. All former Canon technicians.

Then much later, with Foo Say Kam and Danny Yeap. By the way, some years ago, Danny Yeap won the champion trophy during his stay in Club Med, Cherating. (don't play play). Danny, the nicest person in the world, still plays twice a week currently. And Foo Say Kam plays with a very heavy top spinning forehand.

Later I came to know that Raymond of fax plays well. Now I know Wong Choon Heng plays on a regular basis. When he is not performing his Cheong Hock Yau numbers.

Roger Federer has now only two more matches to go to match Pete Sampras 14 Grand Slams titles.

He has not been doing good over the last half year or so. However I still think that he is the best all round player in the world today.

He said: "I was actually pretty happy with the way I've been playing. I think it would have been different had I been losing in the first and second rounds all the time but that wasn't the case. I always played semis or finals, basically.

"For this reason I always knew there was no need to panic. It was just important to keep on working extremely hard and do the right thing.

"I'm happy the hard work is paying off more and more. I still have more work to do to stay where I am right now and hopefully get the French Open title and move on to the grass in a great spirit."

To earn that elusive Roland Garros crown, he will have to beat fifth seed del Potro in today's semi-finals and then overcome either Sweden's Robin Soderling or Murray's conqueror Fernando Gonzalez, of Chile, in Sunday's final.

In Federer's favour none of the trio have ever beaten him on clay.

He admits his nerves are jangling as he closes in on another piece of history but he remains wary. He added: "I'm very thrilled and excited to be back in the semis here, and to be giving myself an opportunity.

"But it doesn't mean I'm going to win this because I have a great record against all the players left in the draw."

You know 31 year old Mirka Vavrinec some, I am sure. She is currently the wife of Roger Federer and is expecting their first child this year. However you may not be aware that she was a WTC tennis player, retiring in 2002 after a foot injury.

So if you see her at the stands watching Federer play matches, do not think she is like Lau Tak Wah's long time Malaysian girlfriend watching Andy Lau performing in a concert; don't know anything.

Some pictures?

. Yah I know, she needs to lose some weight. "Hey Mirka, after the birth of your child?, promise?"

of Brenda Kua and Yan Yoke Ping

This is like finding the last piece of a puzzle.

Remember this picture? 3 angels of yore?

I've posted up this picture twice before and I've mentioned I wondered what happened to Brenda Kua. I've spoken about Jeeneze and Angela Woon and I have met up with these two.

Brenda is the one on the left.

Now the last piece has fallen into place.

Brenda left Canon about 6 years ago and worked for an German company heading their HR Division. Then she joined a British company in the tobacco business. No price for guessing which one. She didn't feel very good working in that industry and left to do her own business in Human Capital Consulting. (will somebody explain to me what is this human capital consulting?)

Right now, the condition couldn't be any better as she has the opportunity to spend more time with her growing kids; a boy (tall as the father) and a girl (petite like the mother). Imagine been able to watch movies with them when others have to be in the office working. Me for instance.

Hubby is also doing his own business; for the last ten years already.

Me? I can't just mind my own business!

How do I know all these?

Well, I asked her. duh!

I did not have the chance to ask Yan Yoke Ping anything as we did not have the chance to meet up.

Rumors has it that he has retired from the corporate scene and now operate a high class French restaurant in Low Yat in partnership with some top IT industry people. (maybe just one).

Anyone of you out there with a generous office expense account kind enough to bring me there? All I have ever reviewed about on food are the lower segments and street level food places. Would be nice to have a change.

Diversity's Got It - Britain's Got Talent

This is the group that has got Susan Boyle into 2nd place.

Latest news is that Susan Boyle experienced a breakdown, a nervous thingy. Well, it looks like fame is really not so easy to handle. Maybe just fortune; that could be easier. Power?; I don't know.

I think this bunch of guys are really good. Superb co-ordinations. I can imagine them practising this routine 2600 times. Just too bad the cash prize has to be shared amongst so many.

.
Some information about this group formed in 2007?

The 10-piece, which includes three sets of brothers, are from Essex and east London and won a national competition the same year they founded the troupe.

Diversity was formed when the younger boys merged into the same group as the older members.

They are: Ashley Banjo, 20, Jordan Banjo, 16, Ian McNaughton, 25, Jamie McNaughton, 23, Matthew McNaughton, 16, Mitchell Craske, 12, Sam Craske, 19, Warren Russell 18, Terry Smith, 24, and Perri Luc Kiely, 13.

Ashley Banjo is the group's choreographer and takes inspiration from films such as Transformers.

When asked by the Britain's Got Talent judges how he comes up with the elaborate routines, he joked: "I'm blessed".

Their energetic performances wowed the audiences as they progressed through the competition, but they were never seen as contenders for the crown.

When asked what it would mean to perform in front of the Queen, Ashley said: "It would be an amazing experience, something that we would remember for the rest of our lives."

They now plan to keep performing to as many people as possible and to "send a message that age, ethnicity, background is not important."

The dancers will perform in front of the Queen at the London Palladium in December.

Do you know Katrina Halili?

If you have been reading the news, you would have.
Katrina Halili is a 23 year old Filipino actress, commercial model and music producer who has been in a scandal lately.

She was voted as FHM Philippines' sexiest woman for the year 2006 and bagged the title yet again in 2007. She is the first StarStruck contestant to top the FHM Philippines' 100 Sexiest list and the only Filipina celebrity to have won the title twice in a row. She is a three-time FHM Philippines covergirl.

Last month, three videos that show compromising encounters between Halili and Dr. Hayden Kho were distributed over the internet without her consent. It was supposed that the person behind the leak of the videos to Internet was a certain Eric Johnson Chua, a close friend and fraternity brother of Hayden Kho.

The latest is that she is also suing the mother of Hayden Kho because Irene Kho alleged in TV interviews that the actress was addicted to drugs and turned her son into a drug user.

Hayden Kho is a cosmetic surgeon.

Sotto dares Hayden Kho to name drug dealer
By Dennis Carcamo
Updated May 31, 2009 04:15 PM
MANILA, Philippines - Dangerous Drugs Board chairman Vicente Sotto III today dared Dr. Hayden Kho Jr. to identify the alleged drug syndicate that supplied his former girlfriend Katrina Halili with the designer drug Ecstasy.

Sotto, in a radio interview, challenged Kho, who figured in a sex video scandal with Halili, to name the bigtime drug group.
.
"We can't just take his word for it. We want for him to name such a group so we could verify and look into it," Sotto said.
At Thursday's Senate inquiry, Kho claimed that the illegal drugs Halili gave him before they had sex came from a very influential syndicate which has government connections.
.
Sotto, however, stressed that Kho might just have been misleading the Senate hearing to divert the focus from the sex video issue to illegal drugs.
"It might just be a diversionary tactic," the DDB head said.
