A little bit of explanation is in order for the younger folks.
During the Stone Age, Canon used to be distributed by Guthrie Trading. This company also handled brands like Kanebo, Otard, KitKat and the like. Then this company was bought over by Multi-Purpose and renamed Mulpha Trading and hence the Canon agency followed. Canon Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd came in, in 1987.. and the rest, like they say....

Dear All,
Please do not forget to come for the dinner at KLGCC on Friday, May 9, 2008. You can come anytime after 6 pm although food will only be served at 7 pm.
Attached is the name list of the 60 people who have confirmed their attendance.
Please look through it to ensure that we have not missed out any names.
Also, kindly note that there is an error in the list - No. 32 should be CK Low (Ivan Yeo's friend). I have requested June Kweh to amend.
We do not have the e-mail addresses of some of the people. For them, I will remind them by sms later today. For those with no contact details at all, can the person who recruited them please inform them accordingly? For example, Stanley Thai and Denis Low were recruited by Ang Seng Oo and so, I will need ASO to remind them.
KLGCC requires us to inform them of the final number by May 6 (to cater for the food) and so, we will be able to accept confirmations up till May 5. I understand from conversations with some of you that there are some people who plan to come but have so far not informed us. So, please inform your friends that it is still not too late to confirm with us. The more the merrier. So, please be kind enough to spread the word around. We notice that Trading is not very well represented!
The venue is the Garden Terrace in KLGCC.
The menu is the BBQ Dinner, which costs RM 65.00 nett per head. This is the amount we are charging you all - please remember to bring loose change and pay to June Kweh / Melissa Foo when you are there.
So far, Pauline Liu has agreed to bring a few bottles of whiskey and PY Tan has agreed to sponsor the beer. Thank you, Pauline and PY. We welcome anyone else who wishes to sponsor drinks.
Finally, a word of thanks to Low Han Kee and his secretary, Judy Ng for making the necessary arrangements with KLGCC.

I know some of these older people. When you go through the list, you may see your parents' names there; uncles? aunties?. Jack Lim's?. I see Angie Yim's name here as well. Hi Angie. Also my friend, Lor Chee Keong, that crazy fler. Hi Lor Chee Keong. Wonder why Steven Wong's name is not there.
Anyhow, I think quite a bit of effort must have been put in to organize this event. 'Tapek' to the organisers. It would be good if we can see a report on this event (Jack?) and pictures. I am sure there must be lots of interesting pictures.
