I managed to watch the 2nd set of the women's finals between Safina and Kuznetsova. It was a little traumatic to see Safina's frustrations, desperation and then hopelessness at the end. I so feel for her.
On the other hand, Kuznetsova was so cool, confident and matter of factly. She looked like nobody in the world can beat her on this day. At one point, she was showing off her football skills with the tennis ball. Very impressive.
She too looked so strong, physically as well as mentally on this day. 6-4, 6-2.
