Mall Cop and The International
Kevin James (born April 26, 1965) is an American comedian and actor, perhaps best known for his portrayal of lead character Doug Heffernan on the CBS sitcom The King of Queens and periodically on Everybody Loves Raymond. He is also known for leading roles in the films Hitch (2005), I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007), and Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009).
Kevin James was so adorable and funny in The King of Queens. I enjoyed this sitcom much which ended about 2 years ago.
However in the Mall Cop, he did not come across well. The movie was like a parody of Die Hard where the hero was trapped in a building (here, it was a mall), with a band of terrorists/robbers led by a mean leader. The lives of a daughter and a girlfriend/wife were at stake and the hero overcame all odds to save the day. Here Kevin played the role of a low esteem loser who transformed into some kind of a hero to save the ta dah girl and the daughter.
Unless you are really bored, do not watch this movie. It was at best mediocre with only a few worthwhile moments. You may be interested to know as well that there were very few good looking people in this movie.
The International has got Clive Owen and Naomi Watts in it.
I first noticed Clive Owen when he was in The Inside Man, a very interesting and good movie. It was on Astro not so long ago.
The International was intense. A big evil bank with powerful evil people running it. International cities all over the world were being used for location shootings. Many people got killed including somebody about to become the Prime Minister of Italy. It was fast paced and exciting. A lot of running around the world.
This movie was about one bank providing credit in exchange for world domination.
If you like the Bourne Identity movies, you'll like this one.
