It is not usual for me to talk about a show that I have not watched. For one, it is banned in this country and so therefore in my mind, means interesting. Two, it is not available yet from my regular pusher.
I've talked a bit about Borat earlier. That movie was actually released 3 years ago. Also banned, of course. Just so you know, it has Pamela Anderson in that one.
Four days ago, this article appeared in the San Franscisco Chronicle.
Bruno banned in Malaysia. Read here for the full story. You should also read the comments as well. Some of them are quite funny. One said the word Malaysia has the word lay in it. And one spelled Malaysia as Magaysia.
Brüno (pronounced as Bruno) is a 2009 mockumentary comedy film directed by Larry Charles. Sacha Baron Cohen, who also produced and co-wrote the movie, stars as the flamboyant gay Austrian fashion journalist Brüno. This film is the third based on characters from Da Ali G Show, following Ali G Indahouse and Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
Gay Austrian fashion reporter Brüno is fired from TV reporting after disrupting a Milan Fashion week catwalk, and his lover Diesel (Clifford Bañagale) leaves him for another man. Accompanied by his assistant's assistant Lutz (Gustaf Hammarsten), he travels to the United States to become "the biggest Austrian superstar since Hitler".
You should also see this "Sacha Baron Cohen Interviews a Terrorist" on the David Letteman show.
I am so going to watch this movie when it is available.
