Heterochromia

I came into a new word today.

Heterochromia.

Well, there are scientific and biological definitions of this and words like melanin, genetic mosaicism will surface. But basically it simply means that a person or an animal can have two different color eyes!

This is not the same as the proverbial 'one big one small' common expression that locals used to describe a pair of anatomical organs.

Kate Bosworth is not exactly Jessica Alba in terms of instant recognition. However, she starred in The Horse Whisperer, a leading role in Blue Crush and as Lois Lane in Superman Returns (2006). She has got these eyes. Also, her face here is so incredibly beautiful.

Another famous personality is well respected musician David Bowie. (Let's Dance).

I do not know the name of this cat.

Did you look at their eyes?

Actually David Bowie is blind in the eye that is that pale blue. He DOES have heterochromia if you want to get technical but it's not from birth.

Actually, He is bling in the darker eye, due to an injury sustained to it as a child. He also, doesn't have heterochromia, his pupil is permanently dialated from the afore mentioned eye injury.

Actually, he does have heterochromia, and it is not a technicality. Complete heterochromia is a medical term for having two different colored irises, regardless of the cause. In any case heterochromia would be difficult to diagnose at birth considering babies do not develop there permanent eye color until about nine months... so you're both wrong :D

actually David Bowe has something called Anisocoria and that is where the pupils of the eyes are different sizes. yes this was obtained by a childhood inuury but he does not in fact heterochromia.
