Hewlett-Packard CNY Dinner

My first Chinese New Year dinner was before the Chinese New Year.

Hewlett-Packard has decided to have some dinners before the actual festival, I guess for easier time management.

The food in Noble House was pretty good and the company of the people excellent.

Kym Lim was lovely as usual. Her colleagues from Hewlett-Packard include the supplies account executives, and people from the MVC (Most Valued Customers) Team. The new MVC manager is Kai Hong and he is physically the biggest man there.

Representing the wholesalers were Jastyn from Goh Office Supplies, Emily from ECS Astar and Joanne Kong from Ingram Micro. My prediction is that women will rise to dominate the IT World and later rise to take over the whole World.

My old friends Katie/Tang from KT Supplies and Loke/Shirley from UOS were together with me on the same table.

Yan Yoke Ping joined us after an earlier function and share with us a bit of his philosophies. He said when being asked on traffic conditions on the way, he will answer "good". This would make it difficult for everybody else who are late, to use traffic as an excuse.

Also, "I will always say that the market is not bad so that my staff can't keep saying the opposite. This will put some pressures on them to perform better".

The wise Hewlett-Packard Country Group General Manager Yan Yoke Ping was a former very successful Canon Electronic Typewriter salesperson. Eric Er was not present as he is on hardware, and not supplies.
