Behind Blue Eyes

Both very respectable and talented 'blue eyes' are gone now. Frank Sinatra almost a decade ago and Paul Newman 2 days ago.

I will be insulting you if I have to tell you who they were.

Behind Blue Eyes by the Limp Bizkit was very popular about a year ago enjoying regular airplays over the radios. You may or may not know that the original version was by the English group The Who; first appearing in 1971.

Who? Well, they were one of the 32 performers in Woodstock '69 and you can still hear them doing We Won't Get Fooled Again every time you watch Crime Scene Investigation. They performed an astounding 25 songs in the epic Woodstock 69, I think the most songs performed by any group.

I present to you here both versions of Behind Blue Eyes. See what you think. First The Who and then Limp Bizkit.

I seem to be having problems uploading the videos. shall try again later.

I think the version by Limp Bizkit is better. However they have the benefits of better technology in terms of sound production and cinematography. And an existing version to build upon.

Anyway, let's remember that the song was composed by Pete Townshend and originally sang by Roger Daltrey both from The Who in 1971.

Check out the kissing scene again on the second version. Halle Berry won't get an Oscar from that take but she has my vote.
