Canon FotoBook Launch - Part 2

This fotobook thing is quite interesting.

It seems that if you have a bunch of photos of some event and if you want to print a compilation as in a book, catalog, etc; you can go to a nearby Canonfoto authorised agent and give them your digital images. They should have a kiosk to do the work. They will be a position to help you select a template or the format, be it a booklet or so. The size as well. Then you pay those guys some money. The agent will then copy the whole thing into a CDR and send it in to some central processing centre. Then 10 days later, you shall get what you want for purposes of showing off to friends and family.

For those wanting to do this business. you will need to pay a RM5000.00 start up fee for the kiosk which will come with the computer and software. Another 5K for them to deduct for services or job done. They are afraid that you may be a bad paymaster. You should earn 20% if you go by the recommended street prices. Once the 5K credit goes below 1K then, you will need to top up; like your prepaid phone card (lah). Can understand?

I looked at the catalog and the front says 'A New Chapter in Business Opportunity'. The first line inside says 'Canonfoto is the dawn of a business opportunity'. Very impressive!

It seems that very high qualities are ensured via the use of the Canon (what else) ImagePRESS C7000VP.

Lau Peng Kai and daughter Kuan Cheng are behind this project and should be contacted for this possible money making New Chapter in Business Opportunity!

I tried to get some photos and more information visiting first the http://www.canon.com.my/ site. Nothing there. Then I tried the http://www.canonfoto.com.my/ site. It is still under construction. Hey guys, gotta move faster. Opportunity to give opportunities may not last too long.

Okay, so no visuals. For now. How about a picture of Simon Yam with a CanonMalaysian.

Maybe we should do a Canon fotobook of all pictures of our Canon girls taken with superstud Simon Yam.
